Howdy, folks. It’s been a minute, but I am back and can’t get my thoughts out fast enough. In such a crazy time, it brings me great comfort to know that whatever happens in life, I can always come back to writing. It doesn’t matter who is listening. I have it with me in my toolbox for rainy days and special occasions. No one can ever take away my ability and passion to write. It forever holds a sacred place in my soul and throughout my physical being.

I hope you all had a joyous holiday season and a happy new year. Time always passes so quickly. Sometimes, it scares me. Other times, I am able to embrace the “now” so fully. It helps me understand and process the richness of life.

As you may have noticed, I fell behind with my weekly features for The Orange Journal writers. Being bedridden will do that to you. And honestly, I was just about sick of Medium for a solid few weeks while I was sick. I didn’t even want to look at it or think about it, discouraged from what I had reaped from my month of consistent efforts. Read more about that story here. It may offer perspective for expectations on Medium for the new writer.

Now that I have gotten over myself, been greatly humbled, and returned to my version of reality, I am so excited to continue this weekly writer shoutout. You people are just tremendous writers, so gifted, and incredibly unique in the ways you all process the world around you. It’s such a beautiful thing to witness such diversity. I learn each day just from reading. I am so grateful for my eyes that allow me to absorb everything I love about the written word.
