Trump Will Start a News Channel After He Leaves the White House

Expect it to fail after a short time, as all his businesses fail

There has been much speculation as to what soon-to-be former President Trump will do after he leaves the White House. Make no mistake. He will leave the White House. He can’t bribe, threaten, lie, or cheat his way out of it.

He would if he could, but somehow, miraculously, democracy withstood his frantic onslaught. At least it did this time. Whether it will survive again the next time a more competent would-be-dictator shows up is a story for another day. Today, I’d like to focus on the eventual fading of Trump from the public eye.

Yes, this may be wishful thinking on my part. But hear me out. I think it’s possible.

Nobody expects Trump to spend his time in a quiet sort of post-presidency we’ve come to expect in modern times, working on his memoirs and his presidential library. Learning to paint or writing suspense novels with James Patterson.

Oh, I suppose he’ll erect some manner of shrine to himself, but I wouldn’t expect a serious post-presidential library.

More like a manic theme park with his name emblazoned everywhere and endless gift shops selling any Trump memorabilia one could dream up. Trump toilet paper, maybe?

And I do think he’ll probably write a book. Or several. Not that his followers are great readers, but he likes things with his name on them.

When I say write a book, I mean have a book ghostwritten, but claim he wrote it himself. It will be his version of events. In other words, it will be full of more lies than a Kayleigh McEnany press briefing, and that’s saying a lot.

But beyond the books and the theme park/library, major speculation has centered around a Trump “news” channel. I am putting quotes around the word, “news” because his news…
