November and December snowstorms

I have barely picked up my camera this year. Life was very full of construction and rearranging the yard. I planned to have a relaxing summer of reading, writing, and photography, but it didn’t pan out that way.

I’ve been writing gardening articles for our local paper, The Taos News, since last spring and have been taking pictures to illustrate them. I’d shoot on Auto and do minor adjustments. Only after the construction was done and the garden frosted did I actually take the time to seek out some decent creative shots. Snowfall is always inspiring, too.

We had a major storm on Thanksgiving day, a few smaller storms in December, and another larger storm over Christmas eve and Christmas day. Now on Sunday, December 29, it has been snowing lightly all morning. I’m ready for some desert sun!

I have been missing Medium and all the friends I’ve made here. I felt spread so thin, I had to cut some things out for a while. I’m working on getting better with Photoshop this winter, so hopefully, I will have more to share! In the meantime, here’s a slice of winter.
