Nothing I Can Say

A poem

There is flurry
Unrest
Frustration
A time like this
Brings distress
There is pain
And you grieve

Still, you must search within
For there is family
And there are friends
Who will try
To help
Their assistance
Must not be overlooked

You must search within
You must gaze beyond the bad
Beyond the good, the vicissitudes
You must stare into your place
Into your calmness
Past the flower and the bee
Past the bushes and the trees
Past the mountains
You will ponder and be saddened
You will remember and be joyful
Naturally
You are human
You must look beyond
All of these fixations

Once there
You have a new task
You must lay your hands
On everything
And exhale
You must reach inside
And gather your memory
Your thoughts
Your power
Your strength
Your perseverance
And your love
You must take what you have
And run with it
Let it do its work

For there is nothing I can say
That will make things better
There is nothing I can say
That will bring this person back
There is however
Something that will help
And that
Is all of this
Do not overlook it
