A Remembrance Of Something Beautiful

I remember the calls at nights
Where we talked nonsense
Just so that we can listen
To each other’s voice
I remember the early morning chats
Where we tried to make up
For the lost few hours
To make up for the separation of night
Those winks and cheeky caresses in the corridor
The casual bumps that made my heart stop
Those days when we laughed like maniacs
And fought like a pair of drunkards in angst
I would pledge my life to bring those back,
To bring you back into mine.
