What is Amazon Web Services ?

Amazon Web Services or AWS is world’s broadly adopted cloud platform . AWS provides with a number of useful cloud computing services that are very much reliable, scalable and cost efficient as they say. AWS provides services like storage , networking , remote computing , servers , email , mobile development and security .

Amazon Machine Learning :

So now coming to Amazon machine learning , frankly means leveraging ML algorithms on cloud platforms like AWS . AWS provides many useful services for machine learning like ML infrastructure to build high performance models , Build , train and deploy your application , AI services that can easily add intelligence to your application and several other use case solutions.

Lets discuss about some of the AI services provided by Amazon Web Services :

a) Amazon Rekognition :

It is an AI service which is extensively used for images and video analytics applications. It is robust and provides high performance assuring accurate results . With Amazon Rekognition, you can identify objects, people, text, scenes, and activities in images and videos, as well as detect any inappropriate content. Any person with no deep learning knowledge can use this application. Amazon Rekognition Custom Labels takes care of the heavy lifting of model development for you, so no machine learning experience is required. You simply need to supply images of objects or scenes you want to identify, and the service handles the rest .

b) Amazon Translate :

Amazon Translate is an neural translation based AI service of AWS . It is fast , flexible and customizable language translation . Neural machine translation is a form of language translation automation that uses deep learning models to deliver more accurate and more natural sounding translation than traditional statistical and rule-based translation algorithms.

Use-case pipeline involving Amazon Translate:

c) Amazon Forecast :

Amazon Forecast is that AI service of AWS that mainly handles applications related to time series forecasting . Many companies rely on their day to day data that is stored in excel and other files and use some external softwares for forecasting but always the results are not satisfactory . So in such situations Amazon Forecast plays a pivotal role where it uses its internal high performance models to predict the forecast .

Aws service Amazon Textract is used extract text ,handwritten data from documents . It is an OCR based application where it identifies the text and then extracts it . Mainly it is used by companies to extract text from documents, PDFs, images , tables and forms. Textract uses machine learning to read and process any type of document, accurately extracting text, handwriting, tables and other data without any manual effort.
