How I found the perfect virtual assistant

I am an up and coming business owner. I started my business a year ago and up to now it has been doing very well, thriving if I do say so myself. Having just gone through the busiest season of all, the festival season, I was pleased by the amount of customers we were getting, we were even running out of stock because of some much business. I expected business to continue to thrive, then coronavirus happened. I started to do everything online since I was forced to work from home. The work load started to pile up as orders started coming in. I had decided to give my employees some well deserved paid leave during this pandemic, since I was doing everything online I assumed I could do it on my own. Actually I expected business to be low since people around the world were not working. However, business started booming, I was getting orders left, right and center. I had to cut one of my employees’ leave short due to the workload. As the workload increased, and I realized we needed help. Hard to admit but true. We needed help! I needed help with trivial tasks like data entry because I needed to keep up with orders. Being that I am a perfectionist, I did not think I would find someone who would be able to do things the way that I wanted them done. As weeks went by and we were failing to fulfill orders and do all the data entry that was needed, plus managing my emails, so I decided to look for help. One morning, I went on fiverr and looked for a virtual assistant, one who does data entry. I looked through a few pages because I didn’t want to pick the first one I saw because I could see they had pending orders. So I remembered having seen a person advertising their VA skills on one of the small business owners groups on Facebook. I figured that would be a good place to start. After some time, I found someone who was advertising her gig, she was a virtual assistant who does data entry. Exactly what I needed. So I sent her a message, we spoke a little and she got started on the job. She said she wouldn’t charge me because she was starting out and wanted to learn. I must admit, I felt bad for allowing someone to work for me for free. I figured I would pay her after, but even then she refused to share her Paypal info for payment. I was extremely pleased by her work, I know it is just data entry and responding to emails but she was so efficient. Delivered exactly what I had asked for. I have continued to work with her since, not letting go of that gem. I will attach a link to her fiverr account that she recently created, no orders yet but I promise you won’t regret giving her a try.
