Frugal VS Minimalism

So first off, what is frugal? Frugal is the mindset of wanting to spend less on things that you need. Not the cheapest. Being frugal allows you to compare between pricing and quality, so being frugal does not mean buying the cheapest item there is.

– An example of a frugal shopper would be ‘I buy shirts in bulk because it is cheaper when you compare the price per unit’.

A minimalist is the mindset of wanting to have less items. They do not mind spending money on high quality products as long as they are able to improve their quality of life with as less items as possible.

– An example of a minimalist shopper would be ‘I buy single high quality expensive shirt at well known stores’.

Most people usually adapt and live their life with either one of these mindsets, however, I was surprised to find out that there IS a possibility for someone who have both. To co-exist them into their lives. They’re called frugal minimalists. They aim to buy cheap things in low quantity, and that is the epitome of money saving. It’s difficult to achieve, but would be a great mindset if you want to save!

I hope this blog post helped clear things up!
