How to Clean Cream Roller Blinds

Roller blinds are great decor for any room; with an abundant amount of styles, fabrics and patterns for you to choose from, you can find the perfect blind to suit your room.

However, people think that cleaning your roller blinds are difficult and another chore to complete when cleaning the house… So we have made a really simple, easy and quick ‘how-to’ guide for cleaning your roller blinds so you can keep your blinds looking as good as you first bought them.

Pull your blinds down so that they are fully extended. This allows you to clean your full blind and not just the section on show. If you just clean the bits of your blinds that you see, you are risking discolouring your blinds over time.

Attach the brush tool to your vacuum and turn it on and start cleaning your blinds. We recommend vacuuming your blinds first, as this gets rid of any dust and dirt; making wiping down your blinds a lot easier and quicker to do.

Then using a spoon to mix together the solution until the water lathers, as shown below;

Once you have made your detergent, carry over the bowl to your blinds, so the solution is easy to get to.

Place your sponge in the soapy water so it absorbs the solution. Then wring out the sponge until damp, so it doesn’t drip while you are cleaning your blinds.

With your damp sponge, wipe down your blinds from left to right, starting at the top and slowly working your way down the blind. If you come across a tough stain, simply spend some more spend on that area, using the same side to side motion.

Carefully read the instructions on the back of your fabric stain remover, and follow their directions. If you are worried that the stain removal will discolour or damage your blinds, then you can do a tester somewhere on your blind that you don’t normally see when rolled up or down.

Keep your blinds fully extended, until they are dry. Due to the fact that you didn’t soak your blinds with water, they should dry fairly quickly in a matter of hours.

If you are unsure if they are dry, leave them overnight and once dry, you can roll them up.
