Influences from Europe, the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa and indigenous peoples have made it the ultimate melting pot,’’ the Times wrote. “The music, food, language and people represent diversity in a multitude of ways ”

Here are 3 reasons New Orleans is an ideal Tourist Destination. Each one of these is a must-do and must-see in New Orleans:

1) French Quarters : If you want to experience New Orleans properly, it’s best to begin your tour here. The French Quarter’s center lies at Bourbon Street — New Orleans’ famous and infamous party hub. This street is laden with performers and fortune tellers as well as rowdy bars. Any trip to New Orleans isn’t really complete without strolling down Bourbon Street. There are live-music resturants, gentlemans’ club and great bars all within a small stretch. Though most experiences on Bourbon Street are best appreciated by adult travelers.

2) St. Louis Cathedral: This is the centerpiece of the French Quarter. St. Louis Cathedral is New Orleans’ most recognizable landmarks. It is the oldest cathedral in North America originally built in the early 1700s. There are Religious services as well as numerous cultural events, free concerts held here regularly. Even if you’re not interested in attending a service, past visitors urge you to take a peek inside, describing it as “beautiful inside and out.” There are live shows happening at the park out the Cathedral during the day.

3) Frenchmen Street: The Frenchmen Street is an attraction you cannot miss in New Orleans. It offers an authentic New Orleans experience very different from the touristy areas of Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. The Frenchmen Street is lively & popular spot for locals though few tourists make their way way here as it is around a mile from the French Quarters. Frenchmen Street is a four-block stretch of live music, bars, restaurants, night clubs and art galleries. Our recommendation is the Bamboulas on Frenchmen Street .
